Ep. 218: Blues Night Jam - Aug ’26

2026-08-09 / 2:30

Ok, so this definitely was one of those magical times where everything seemed to just flow well together! I am incredibly lucky to be able to play with such amazing musicians at the blues night. Pc @davidandrewshultz Aside from this, but time and again, we really should just take a pause, and take in how life is right now.. cause quite often, we may just be living a version of life that our past selves just dreamt of! Ofc, not everything is going to be perfect, but it is really, really, really nice to be able to fulfill (and in some cases exceed!) what our dreams were back in the day. I genuinely believe a lot of us would feel substantially better if we just took a moment out of our regular lives to just be grateful for where we are right now :) This was recorded ~Aug ’26

Ep. 217: The Allman Brothers Band - Jessica, Guitar Cover

2026-07-21 / 1:31

Wanted to learn more Major blues type-things, and after listening to this album over the years (and Top Gear being one of my comfort shows) I thought it was finally time to learn this! I’ll probably do another one for the solo, but just wanted to get this one out there! This was recorded ~July ’26

Ep. 215: Slash - Starlight | Guitar Solo Cover

2026-06-10 / 0:46

So, this is a pretty big milestone for me, in practically every aspect really. Starlight is perhaps one of my most fav Slash songs, and I recall getting the album back in 2010 when it came out, and just being blown away by the solo. Around 15 years later, I am finally decent enough to be able to attempt it! Also, this guitar is a childhood dream from then come true as well. I just wish I could go back in time and tell my old self that dreams do come true! Practically everything changes, and you rarely feel the same.. but one day you just glance around and realize that you are living the dream of yesteryear, and I think that’s worth celebrating. Ep. 214: Radiohead - Fake Plastic Trees | Guitar Cover

2026-05-29 / 4:44

Okay, so I recently discovered Radiohead, and some of their songs hit like a ton of bricks. This is one which is a nice one to jam along to. I’d have played it on the acoustic, but it’s 1am presently, and I have had a very long (and very eventful day, following a rather.. different week). Not sure if I ever will look back and read this description in a couple of years, but I really hope I remember the evening and the concert, very much like this song really. Also, I have a lot to say about this guitar, but that will come in another video where I can do it more justice. It’s quite a feeling to see the juxtaposition of things in the present and 10/15 years ago. This was recorded ~May ’26

Ep. 213: SOJA - Not Done Yet | Bass Cover

2026-05-21 / 3:48

Playing bass is so much fun on reggae songs. I remember discovering SOJA ~2015, just as my I was getting into my undergrad, and then later even getting to see them ~2024, which was really amazing. This is a really nice track to pick up and practice the bass on for sure! And looking back, 9 years has made such a huge difference. I’m pretty sure the 18 year old me back then would not be able to believe the things the 28 year old me is able to do and experience presently. Guess it’s really imp to take a moment and reflect sometimes. This was recorded ~May ’26

Ep. 212: Green Day - Redundant | Guitar Cover

2026-05-06 / 3:11

Green Day is such a fun band to jam along to! This (and several other) of their songs are just comforting for me.. I recall getting the CD for “International Superhits” back in like 7th/8th standard, and I guess I finally am able to figure their songs out by ear! Ofcourse, this take has mistakes, and as always, that makes it just the more human. This was recorded ~May ’26

Another awesome song to jam along to. Also, a really nice song to learn if you recently picked up the bass. Had been a while since I could properly enjoy jamming to a song on the bass! This was recorded ~Apr ’26

Oh man, what a groovy song. This is one of the most perfect uses of the dominant 7th chord, and it’s a blast to jam to! This was recorded ~Feb ’26

Ep. 209: Elvis Presley - Jailhouse Rock Guitar Cover

It’s a nice feeling getting into the blues again. This is something that I wanted to cover for a couple of years, and this is a very nice entry-way into learning the bass parts as well!! Really fun tune as well. This was recorded ~Feb ’26
